Forno Sethi is a catering tandoor manufacturer in India, based in Burari, Delhi and making tandoors since 1987. For banquets, wedding caterers and event kitchens we make the round (cylindrical) tandoor in SS (stainless steel) and MS (mild steel). The 24 × 36 SS round tandoor is our best-selling catering size, and the 150 litre and 200 litre MS drum tandoors are the budget-friendly choice for caterers who order in numbers. For a bigger SS round we make the 30 × 36. The drum tandoors are also asked for by their litre size, so just say 150 litre or 200 litre drum tandoor. They run on charcoal, gas (LPG or PNG) or hybrid, so you can pick the fuel that suits your events.
Price depends on the size, fuel and your city. Send us your details on WhatsApp and we send an exact quote.

Which tandoor is best for catering? For catering and banquets, a round tandoor is the practical choice, in SS for long life and a clean look or in MS for a lower upfront cost. It is a classic clay drum tandoor in a stainless steel double body, so it holds heat for long service hours, wipes clean after an event and keeps the outside cooler for the cook. The 24 × 36 is our best-selling catering size, and its 36 inch height is comfortable for the cook to work with. The 30 × 36 is the bigger SS round for busy events.

Made for Long Service – The clay drum tandoor with a double body holds steady heat for hours, which suits wedding and banquet service.
SS or MS, Your Choice – SS wipes clean after an event and lasts longer. MS drum tandoors cost less upfront, which suits caterers who buy in numbers.
Double Body on SS Round – Our SS round tandoors have glass wool between the clay drum and the outer body, which keeps heat in and the outside cooler for the cook.
Pick Your Fuel – Charcoal for smoky taste, gas (LPG or PNG) for quick start and easy control, or hybrid for both.
Real Tandoor Cooking – Naan, tandoori roti and kulcha bake on the hot clay wall, and tikka, kebab and tandoori items cook on skewers.
Repair and Spares – Clay repair and spare parts are available, so a worn chamber does not mean a new tandoor.
Bulk Orders – We supply catering companies, banquet chains and dealers in numbers, with terms discussed on a call.
Short answer: Choose SS if you want a long life and a clean, presentable look at banquets and live counters. Choose an MS drum tandoor if you want a lower upfront cost and you order several tandoors for your catering work. The clay tandoor inside is the same idea in both.

More on gas: commercial gas tandoor. Charcoal produces carbon monoxide, so always plan good ventilation.
Cure it first – Heat a new clay tandoor slowly in stages before its first event. See the curing guide.
Open space or good ventilation – Place the tandoor outdoors or where fumes and heat can escape. Charcoal makes carbon monoxide.
Level, firm ground – Keep the tandoor steady on a level surface, away from tent walls, curtains and decorations.
Fuel ready and stored safely – Keep charcoal dry, or the gas cylinder in a safe place away from heat, and confirm LPG or PNG before the event.
Fire safety – Keep a fire extinguisher close and keep cloth, paper and oil away from the tandoor mouth.
After the event – Let the tandoor cool fully, clean the SS body, and keep it covered and dry until the next event.
You can cook naan, tandoori roti, kulcha, chicken tikka, paneer tikka, seekh kebab and other tandoori items. For a live counter with a copper look, see our live kitchen tandoor.
Short answer: Tandoor skewers are made in different thicknesses for different foods, so tell us your menu and we suggest the right ones. Skewers, naan jodi and cushion are supplied separately with a catering tandoor.
| Menu | Skewer type |
| Paneer, soya chaap, veg tikka | Thin skewer |
| Chicken tikka and chicken kebab | Medium thickness skewer |
| Mutton and seekh kebab | Thicker, stronger skewer, because mutton is heavier and harder |
Naan jodi, cushion and other accessories are available too. Tell us what you cook and how many tandoors you need on WhatsApp.
Pan India delivery – We deliver by part-load transport to keep freight cost low. Far cities such as Bengaluru can take about 7 to 14 days in transit.
